50 Cent steals a beat from Eminem on new song

If you’re wondering where 50 Cent found inspiration for his forthcoming album Before I Self Destruct, the answer lies in an unusual place. A trip to Detroit to work with Dr. Dre on the record caused 50 Cent to start rifling through the files on Eminem’s computer. Slim Shady was absent from the session, but that didn't stop 50 Cent from delving into his hard drive.

Instead of looking for copies of Eminem's divorce settlements or his porn browsing history, the celebrated rapper went looking for beats, and found one that he couldn’t resist using. “I went through Em's computer and found what I needed,” he said. “I wrote it; Em heard it. He was like, 'You gotta keep that for yourself. This is too crazy.' First, I think he was gonna take it from me, then he was like, 'He gotta use that for himself.'”

Before I Self Destruct is set to include a song featuring both 50 Cent and Eminem, titled “Norman Bates Motel.” The record, which is the last album in 50 Cent’s deal with Interscope records, is scheduled for release on December 9. [hiphopdx]

50 is signed to shady, so he get's money off the album sales anyway. That's why giving the track to 50 doesn't matter to him.
