James Murphy hints at new LCD Soundsystem record

Co-founder of DFA Records and force behind LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy told NME that he's written all of the follow-up to 2007's Sound of Silver...sort of.

"I write all my music in my head," Murphy told NME. "I never demo. I get to a point where there are too many songs and I have to get them recorded. I recently felt that. I've got eight in my head -that's critical mass."

For an LCD Soundsystem this news isn't as encouraging as say, Murphy being in the middle of recording, but it's something. And even if Murphy were recording, we probably wouldn't know, as he apparently treats that the same way elephants treat dying.

"When I start recording I don't tell anyone, not even my manager," Murphy said to NME. Wacky.
